The En Route series grew out of Sveta's regular journeys between Riga and Tallinn. It is a melancholic view of the road as a state of its own, a time for observation and personal reflection. Her lens catches the elusive atmosphere of familiar Eastern European landscapes with pines, fields and scattered houses, through which silence and a fragile sense of solitude show.
