Lives and works in Moscow
Andrey Beat.c is an artist working at the intersection of street art, illustration, mosaic and sculpture. Born in Gus-Khrustalny, he has loved drawing since childhood, and in the late 2000s he found his way into graffiti, which remains an important part of his artistic language to this day.
Since the early 2010s Andrey has been actively exploring different media, combining the practice of a street artist with illustration, digital techniques and object art. His visual approach was born of street experience but has long since gone beyond graffiti, while keeping everything he values: freedom, form and immediacy. His works feature recognisable characters, a naive visuality, saturated colour and a constant interest in composition, surface and rhythm. The central character is often a frog mascot, a guide into his imaginary world.
Andrey takes part in festivals, exhibitions, markets and contemporary art auctions across Russia. He has painted facades in Bashkiria and Vladimir, designed the underground car park of the LUCKY residential complex in Moscow (2022) and created a mosaic panel together with residents of Tyumen at the Morphology of Streets festival (2024). One of his projects is a personalised pattern for Swatch watches presented at Expo 2020 in Dubai.
Other key projects:
- Festivals: Stenograffia (Yekaterinburg, 2021), Mosty (Blagoveshchensk, 2023), 33ZAGFEST (Vladimir, 2022–2023), Morphology of Streets (Tyumen, 2024)
- Group exhibitions: Interference on the Right (2021), Graffiti Connect (2024)
- Auctions: Vladey (2023), Zoloto+Boloto (2024)
- Markets: WIN WIN (2022, 2023), Substantsiya (2024)
- Commercial projects: an Ozon pick-up point design (2021), art initiatives of the brands Yota, Traektoria and Bacardi
Working with a variety of materials, from digital graphics to mosaic and sculpture, Andrey keeps developing his language, tries new things and is not afraid to change scale. What matters to him is not only the visual task but also a sense of connection with the space, the environment and the viewer.
