Andrey Beat.c's works at an exhibition of Russian public art at the Russian House in Berlin
Faces, a series of mosaic works by Andrey Beat.c, is on view at a large exhibition of contemporary Russian public art that opened at the Russian House in Berlin as part of Berlin Art Week.
The project, prepared by Roman Ermakov together with curator Anna Malik-Korolenkova, is devoted to the development of street art in Russia and its role in contemporary urban culture. The exhibition brings together artists working in different media, from murals and sculpture to graphics, digital prints and environmental objects, showing how public art becomes a way of dialogue with the city and the viewer.
The exhibition is built as a study: large-scale projects stand next to intimate interventions, and the artists act not only as authors but also as co-authors of the urban environment. The focus is on individual artistic language and new forms of interaction with space.
